I have been living in the Ghetto for all of my live and things have gone great it has been like our own little world just Jews. We were never judged made fun of or tested in the Ghetto because we were all the same. My name is Abiela Aaron On the day of the uprising I was terrified. I had no idea what was going on or what to do. I quickly gathered my family and hoped for the best, and that we would stay together.
The Germans greatly out numbered the Jews. Everywhere I looked all I saw were Germans and only a couple of Jews. There were Jews being thrown into wagons and shot down. I thought we were never going to survive. As we wondered down the streets trying to find a safe place to hide my 12 year old daughter and 7 year old son disappeared. I franticly ran around trying to find them but I never did. Now all that was left of my family was me. As I walked around looking for anyone I knew a man got shot right next to me. All I was thinking was how lucky I was not to be him. Then all of a sodden a large group of Germans came running towards me and I had no place to go. They grabbed me and threw me into a dark wagon with a few other people; no one said anything we just sat there. There was a guard in the wagon with us making sure no one tried to escape. Then the wagon started to move but no one had any idea were we were going. All I hoped that where we were going I would meet my family there. If I do not live to write any more writing I hope that my family is ok and that all the Jews are all right. I hope this is not last of my writing.
Sincerely,
Abiela Aaron
